NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman will host a virtual conversation at 2:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 30, to provide updates on the agency’s plans to build a Moon Base on the lunar surface.
Isaacman and Moon Base program manager Carlos García-Galán are scheduled to discuss the next set of awards for new lunar lander missions and outline upcoming opportunities as NASA works toward a sustained presence on the Moon.
The event will stream on NASA’s YouTube channel, with an instant replay available online. NASA said media who want to ask questions during the event must RSVP by 12:30 p.m. on June 30.
NASA described the Moon Base as a long-term lunar exploration and infrastructure initiative intended to support sustained human presence and expanded scientific and commercial activity on the lunar surface.
