India Space Congress 2026 draws 1,000 delegates to New Delhi

The 5th India Space Congress (ISC) 2026 was held in New Delhi from 15–17 June, drawing more than 1,000 delegates and 250 speakers from 25 countries, according to organiser SIA-India.

The three-day event involved eight knowledge partners and 20 exhibitors, with sessions spanning space security, connectivity, launch systems, investment, sustainability and regulatory themes.

Among the named participants were Dr Pawan Kumar Goenka, chairman of IN-SPACe; Lt Gen D.S. Rana, commander-in-chief of the Indian Army; Aarti Holla-Maini, director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA); Christian Biever, Luxembourg’s ambassador to India; and representatives from Thailand’s GISTDA and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India.

ISC 2026 included the launch of an India Space Industry E-Catalogue and the release of seven reports and publications. The event also included ISC Excellence Awards and recognition for winners of a Global Call for Papers competition and the GeoNiti national space policy ideathon, organised in partnership with the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).

SIA-India framed the congress as a forum for international collaboration and commercial engagement as India’s space sector expands, with attendance from government, industry, startups, investors and academia.
