The Australian Space Discovery Centre is underpinned by a strong STEM education focus. NASA Search and Rescue partners with SmartSat CRC

SmartSat CRC has partnered with NASA’s Search and Rescue Office to advance stress-related communications and navigation technology for the benefit of the U.S. and Australia. This collaboration will help to continue building Australia’s space industry.

Space Industry Xchange

Dr Megan Clark AC will speak at the US-Australia Space Industry Xchange. Hosted by G’Day USA, the event will look at Australia’s participation with the US on the return to the Moon and on to Mars. The line up also features Dr Larry Marshall, CSIRO, and Lt Gen Larry James (USAF, Ret.), NASA JPL.

European Space Agency invitation to tender

The European Space Agency has opened up the next round of tenders for the development of their New Norcia facility in WA.This stage looks to upgrade the existing facility in anticipation of the future installation of their next deep space antenna. The tender is open to Australian companies, however you will need an EMITS account to fully access the documentation.

Congratulations Kerrie!

Congratulations Kerrie Dougherty, OAM for her Service to astronautics. Kerrie is an independent space historian, curator and writer, alongside working for the Australian Space Agency. Kerrie has had a long career in space, studying science and archaeology. From the Powerhouse Museum to the International Space University, she has authored a few books including the history of space ‘Australia in Space’.
