Bright Ascension will debut a new ground segment software product, HELIX Groundkit, at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 in Bremen this week. The software is the latest addition to the company’s HELIX ecosystem, which is designed to provide an integrated suite of tools covering spacecraft development and mission operations.
HELIX Groundkit extends the HELIX platform beyond onboard software and mission control by offering a modular, reusable framework for ground software development. The company said the product has undergone extensive integration work on several upcoming missions, reflecting broader uptake of its architecture for next-generation space systems due to launch later this year.
The new software sits alongside HELIX Flightkit and HELIX Ops, forming a unified environment intended to support spacecraft across their entire lifecycle. The ecosystem is built around modular components and a service-based architecture, allowing operators to tailor systems for small satellite missions through to multi-spacecraft constellations.
Bright Ascension plans to follow the expo debut with two live technical webinars that will demonstrate both Groundkit and Flightkit and provide further detail on how the HELIX suite can be used to develop and operate space missions.
