Enclustra debuts at GSTCE 2026 with FPGA-based space and satellite demonstrations

Swiss technology company Enclustra has made its debut at the Global Space Technology Convention & Exhibition (GSTCE) 2026 in Singapore, using the event to demonstrate reconfigurable hardware platforms aimed at commercial space and satellite applications.

The company’s booth demonstrations centre on field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology for radar sensing, radio-frequency (RF) signal processing, optical communications and on-board artificial intelligence. Enclustra said it is working with Array Labs, Transcelestial and Makarena Labs on use cases spanning Earth observation, satellite communications and edge AI analytics.

One of the showpieces presented at the event was a wideband spectrum monitoring demonstration anchored on Enclustra’s Andromeda module, with CEO Philippe Bächtold in attendance, according to a caption supplied with the release.

In a showcase with Array Labs, Enclustra said it is demonstrating a “turnkey” radar sensor technology solution designed for satellite deployment. The company said the platform uses its Andromeda XZU65 System-on-Module and ST5 base board, and is intended to support high-throughput signal processing in a compact format. The release also describes a live demonstration featuring a real-time wideband RF signal chain with more than 3 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth.

Another demonstration involves Singapore-based Transcelestial, which Enclustra described as developing laser-based communications for satellite and terrestrial networks. A further demonstration with Italy-based Makarena Labs focuses on integrating real-time inference capabilities with FPGA platforms for on-board processing in aerospace and other applications.

In a statement, Bächtold said the company is aiming to move from experimental deployments to commercially viable solutions by delivering FPGA platforms that combine performance, flexibility and efficiency.

Enclustra also linked its GSTCE participation to what it described as a broader industry issue: the slow transition in Earth observation from pilot programmes to procurement, despite advances in analytics and AI. The release cited barriers including unclear return on investment, integration complexity and misaligned commercial incentives.

The company said it has established a regional headquarters in Singapore and plans to recruit about 100 design engineers, sales and marketing staff over the next four years.

GSTCE 2026 is being held at Marina Bay Sands on 13–14 May 2026, with Enclustra listed at Booth C18 in the release.
