The Global Space Technology Convention & Exhibition (GSTCE) 2025 begins today, February 26. It puts the spotlight on how space is set to impact the global economy and global innovation agenda.
Organised by Singapore Space & Technology Ltd, this year’s event marks a significant milestone: bringing ten non-space industry sectors into the convention for the first time. This reflects the growing mainstream adoption of space as a horizontal technology that enables advancements across multiple industries.
This year’s theme, Commercialising Space – New Frontiers in Disruptive Innovation, emphasises the contribution of space to the global economy.
With 1,200 delegates from 45 countries, the largest-ever in the history of the show, 60 exhibitors from 15 countries, and five national pavilions (Japan, Singapore, Italy, India, and South Africa), GSTCE 2025 demonstrates how space is driving disruptive innovation beyond traditional aerospace applications.
The show focuses on how businesses, investors, and governments can leverage space technologies to create new commercial opportunities across finance, smart cities, supply chain, AI, cybersecurity, and more.
A report co-authored by Deloitte and Singapore Space & Technology was launched as part of GSTCE 2025, highlighting how the increased adoption of Earth observation data across Southeast Asia could contribute an additional USD100 billion to the region’s GDP by 2030.
“Space is no longer just about billion-dollar launches or national space programmes,” said Singapore Space & Technology Chairman Jeremy Chan. “It has evolved into an enabling force across industries, just like AI, the internet, and GPS before it. This year’s GSTCE is proof of that transformation.”
“This convention is no longer just a gathering for the space industry, it’s a platform to showcase how space is reshaping industries and unlocking new economic frontiers,” he added.
This year’s conference agenda will showcase high-profile speakers from leading space agencies, global enterprises, and emerging space-tech disruptors. Discussions will explore how space is fuelling new growth in:
  • AI-powered geospatial intelligence for finance, logistics, and risk management;
  • Next-gen satellite navigation for autonomous mobility;
  • Space-based climate monitoring for sustainability and disaster resilience; and
  • Satellite-driven connectivity transforming global supply chains and infrastructure.
Nineteen speakers from JAXA, NASA, ESA, and regional space agencies will share their insights on high-level keynotes and panels, alongside industry leaders from Deloitte, Airbus, and emerging space-tech startups.
The GSTCE 2025 exhibition has more than doubled in size, featuring five national pavilions and over 60 exhibitors showcasing innovations in earth observation, satellite communications, propulsion systems, and commercial space applications.
Japan is the featured country for GSTCE 2025, showcasing its JPY1 trillion Space Strategy Fund and key players such as JAXA, ispace, Mitsubishi, and Synspective.
The Singapore Pavilion has doubled in size from last year, featuring 16 Singapore-based space companies, from long-established leaders to cutting-edge startups.
Italy, India, and South Africa will also showcase national capabilities, reinforcing GSTCE’s role as a key global platform for cross-border space collaboration.
GSTCE 2025 will host a series of industry-focused workshops exploring the growing intersection of space with smart cities, maritime, financial services, space cybersecurity, and policy. A global B2B marketplace will also run alongside the event, designed to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and commercial partnerships between space and non-space industries.
GSTCE 2025 will take place February 26-27, 2025, at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.
