Zero-Error Systems (ZES) has launched ZSoMTM, a radiation-hardened System-on-Module (SOM) designed to revolutionize space payload development and longevity of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites.
ZSoMTM integrates ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller technology with ZES’s proprietary radiation-hardened by-design technology, offering resilience against Single-Event Latchup (SEL) and Single-Event Upset (SEU) in irradiation environments.
This combination ensures high reliability and performance, making ZSoMTM contribute to achieving critical space missions.
One of the key features of ZSoMTM is its compatibility with the Arduino-Compatible platform, allowing developers to leverage a vast ecosystem of open-source code and resources.
This compatibility streamlines the development process, empowering engineers to rapidly prototype and deploy space-based applications with confidence.
The target applications are watchdog and data communication.
“We are thrilled to introduce ZSoMTM to the LEO satellite industry,” said Dr. Shu Wei, CTO of Zero-Error Systems. “With its advanced radiation-hardened by design technology and seamless integration with the Arduino-Compatible platform, ZSoMTM offers a transformative solution for space payload development. We believe ZSoMTM will accelerate innovation and unlock new possibilities for space exploration.”
