Satellite IoT connectivity provider Myriota has appointed US-based technology executive George Kanuck (pictured) as Chief Operating Officer, as the company accelerates its global growth strategy.
Kanuck, who will be based in Austin, Texas, brings more than two decades of C-suite leadership experience across IoT, security and enterprise technology. His career includes senior roles at Trustonic, Good Technology and within the Nutanix ecosystem, most recently serving as Chief Revenue Officer at digital experience platform Monetate.
Myriota said Kanuck will lead global operations and service delivery as demand grows for secure, low-power and affordable satellite IoT connectivity. His remit includes scaling customer operations, optimising end-to-end performance and building a unified operational framework for OEMs, solution providers and enterprise customers deploying IoT systems at global scale.
The appointment comes as Myriota’s HyperPulse™ network enters general availability across multiple markets, alongside continued uptake of its UltraLite™ services. The company’s satellite IoT technology is currently used across sectors including agriculture, logistics, oil and gas, renewable energy, water management and government.
Myriota CEO Ben Cade said the timing was critical as the company moves into its next phase of expansion.
“With HyperPulse now in general availability across multiple markets, and strong momentum across agriculture, logistics, resources and environmental monitoring, we’re entering our next phase of growth,” Cade said. “George brings a rare combination of operational rigour, commercial insight and experience scaling complex technology solutions.”
Kanuck said Myriota’s purpose-built satellite architecture provided a strong foundation for global operations.
“Myriota has engineered its networks from the ground up to deliver critical data from assets anywhere in the world, particularly in the hardest-to-reach places,” he said. “That specialist architecture enables ultra-low-power operation, truly global reach and predictable performance. I’m excited to turn that technology advantage into world-class operations that make it faster and easier for customers and partners to deploy and scale.”
Myriota operates in 57 countries, with the appointment underscoring the company’s focus on operational excellence, partner enablement and scalable global growth as satellite IoT adoption accelerates worldwide.
