Next week marks a major milestone for the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition, celebrating 25 years since its inception in 2000. What began as a focused platform for Australia’s maritime and defence sectors has grown into the region’s premier naval and commercial maritime industry event, reflecting the strategic importance of the Indo-Pacific and the evolving complexity of its maritime domain.

Held from 4–6 November at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, Indo Pacific 2025 will be the largest edition in the event’s history. With more than 900 participating exhibitor companies and over 100 expert-led forums, presentations and technical sessions, the event offers unmatched opportunities for engagement, collaboration and insight.

A record 240 official delegations from 58 nations – including 39 Chiefs of Navy or Chief of Navy Counterparts and 15 Chief of Navy representatives – will attend, reinforcing Indo Pacific’s role as a global forum for maritime dialogue and strategic cooperation.

The Royal Australian Navy continues to play a central role in shaping the event, ensuring alignment with its capability priorities and leveraging the exposition to engage with industry, government and international counterparts.

At the heart of this engagement is the 14th Indo-Pacific Sea Power Conference, hosted by Navy and open to all registered attendees. This year’s theme, Strength at Sea = Security and Prosperity at Home, highlights the enduring link between maritime capability and national resilience.

For 25 years, Indo Pacific has been more than an event, it’s been a catalyst for advancement, a platform for strategic dialogue, and a showcase of maritime excellence.
