The 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2025) — the most influential global gathering for the space community — will be held in Sydney, Australia, from 29 September to 3 October 2025. Organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), hosted by the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA), and co-hosted by the Australian Space Agency and NSW Government, IAC 2025 marks a defining moment for both the global and regional space sectors.

IAC 2025 has already surpassed expectations, with over 3,000 Early Bird registrations, setting a new record in the rich congress’s history. Celebrating Global Achievements: IAF World Space Awards
A major highlight of IAC 2025 will be the presentation of the IAF World Space Awards — widely regarded as the “Oscar in Space” — during the Opening Ceremony on 29 September.
  • Individual CategoryJeff Bezos, founder of Blue Origin, will be honored for his visionary leadership and pioneering achievements in reusable launch technology. The successful 2025 launch of New Glenn represents a landmark in sustainable space transportation, aligning closely with this year’s IAC theme.
  • Team Category: The Chang’E-6 Mission Team will be recognized for their historic return of lunar samples from the far side of the Moon — a first in human history, marking a new chapter in deep space exploration.
Broadening the Space Dialogue
The IAF International Astronauts Chapter will be featured at IAC 2025, offering the public and professionals the rare chance to hear firsthand experiences and perspectives from astronauts around the world.
