Gilmour Space launched its Eris rocket test flight 1 this morning, though the launch did not go as planned as the rocket shifted to the right, failed to gain thrust and fell back to Earth, exploding seconds later.
The highly anticipated launch, with the initially launch window scheduled on March 15, had been delayed multiple times, initially by regulatory delays and, more recently, by technical problems with the rocket.
The Eris orbital launch vehicles aim to deliver up to 305 kg to Low Earth Orbit.
