Scotland-based space software technology provider Bright Ascension has signed a memorandum of understanding with ERETS Space, an in-space debris removal service provider. The agreement will underpin the formation of another partnership and expand Bright Ascension’s global footprint.
ERETS wants to leverage Bright Ascension’s space software technology to establish a tailored value-added reseller partnership in the Australasian region, where it has a research and development presence.
Bright Ascension says the partnership supports its Software and Integration Partner Programme, a strategic initiative aimed at advancing the company’s ongoing HELIX suite expansion and developing collaboration with commercial entities across the global space sector.
“We are excited to start the new journey with ERETS in the Australian market,” said Bright Ascension’s Richard Adams. “By merging our expertise, we are expanding our global footprint and driving a positive change within the space industry, helping make spacecraft development substantially cheaper, faster and simpler.”
“This partnership will also offer perspective customers access to additional and fully integrated mission opportunities, such as automating operations or space-based data delivery, for actionable insights and intelligence through our upcoming HELIX suite of software products.”
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Bright Ascension to leverage their innovative space software,” said ERETS CEO Dr Abhiram Nair. “This collaboration is a significant step forward in our mission towards sustainability in space. The advanced capabilities of Bright Ascension’s software will be helpful in our mission to track and remove space debris, ensuring safer and more efficient space operations. We believe this partnership will be fruitful in numerous ways, paving the path for a more sustainable and responsible approach to space exploration.”
