Connecticut-based ARKA Group has joined the Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) as a full member, according to a May 8, 2024 statement from the industry group.
“We’re very happy to welcome ARKA as the newest SIG member,” said SIG Managing Director Helen Weedon. “The ARKA Group brings with it a huge amount of knowledge and expertise which will no doubt be invaluable for the Satcom Innovation Group.”
SIG is a membership organisation aiming to promote innovation in the satellite communication industry to improve operational efficiency. It provides all parts of the satcom industry a platform to share knowledge, exchange ideas, discuss challenges and opportunities, and explore technical aspects of industry efficiencies.
ARKA specialises in space systems, advanced communications, defence systems, modern software mission applications, and optical network instrumentation. The statement says ARKA brings a history of partnership and collaboration to the SIG.
“ARKA is committed to innovation, mission performance and advanced engineering, so we’re very much looking forward to working collaboratively with the Satcom Innovation Group to discuss technical aspects of the satcom industry and explore innovation in the current landscape,” said ARKA’s Marc Verity.
